Kingsley Ochei is a public health Biomedical Scientist and Health Management Specialist with over 15 years’ relevant professional experience in practical and operational application in project management of public health disease at the national and international levels.
He possessed requisite knowledge and skills in implementation health systems strengthening program, disease surveillance and emergency response to diseases of public health importance in collaboration with WHO, CDC, USAID and other implementing partners. Serving as a resource person in TB, HIV & malaria, he has a proven ability using research findings in broader public health decision-making through a robust monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) program. Serving as the Senior Technical Advisor, Surveillance systems, Kingsley provided technical support to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) & Federal Ministry of Health on disease surveillance response to Human and animal health including support to laboratory response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He is presently the Senior Technical Advisor TB Surveillance for the USAID STAR Project in Nigeria.
Kingsley holds a Ph.D. in Public Health from Central University of Nicaragua, a certificate in Fundamentals of implementation science and a certificate in Leadership and Management in Health from University of Washington and possess adequate training/certification in bacteriology, infectious disease, epidemiology, laboratory biosafety and laboratory techniques. He is a fellow of African Institute of Public health professionals and also a fellow of the West African Post Graduate College of Medical Laboratory Sciences ( WAPCMLS).
