Prior to Save the Children, he worked in the advertising and hospitality industries in the United States before relocating to South Africa where he provided consulting and advisory services to the Department of Basic Education, Big Fish School of Digital Filmmaking, Global Health Strategies, Trevor Noah Foundation, and Global Citizen for their Mandela 100 Festival in Johannesburg in December 2018.
In 2019, Rodney completed his Masters in Public Health, with a focus on Health Promotion, at the University of Pretoria.
Rodney serves on the board of Boys & Girls Club South Africa and N’Kumi Kreates & Konnects. With his current role at USAID Southern Africa as Senior Marketing Advisor, he works across the health office to align USAID's service delivery model with client-centered approaches by applying private sector consumer marketing principles to solving public health challenges.
